How to apply your eye pencil?
1️⃣ HYDRATE YOUR EYE AREA
An eye contour treatment is not just for brightening the eyes; it primarily serves to deeply hydrate. This will notably help to enhance and boost your eye makeup!
Charlotte’s tip: opt for a treatment with hydrating and soothing active ingredients.
2️⃣ MAKEUP YOUR EYE AREA
After completing your complexion routine, it's time to move on to your eyes!
For this, arm yourself with a concealer, an eyeshadow, and a powder! Apply your anti-dark circle concealer as an eyelid base. To mattify the whole thing, apply an eyeshadow of your skin tone or simply a little organic compact powder.
Voila, your eye area is ready!
3️⃣ APPLY THE EYE PENCIL
The organic eye pencil can be used in various ways. You can use it as an eyeliner, as an eyelid base, or simply apply your pencil to the waterlines of your eyes. Discover our tips:
-
As an eyeliner: Take the pencil in the color of your choice and use your eye pencil along your upper lash line. Start by drawing a thin line from the inner corner of the eye, then gently move outwards. Slightly widen the line by creating a flick at the outer corner of the eye to achieve a true eyeliner look. To perfect it all, apply the organic mascara of your choice! To transform your look into smokey eyes, simply blend with a blending brush. For those who are more comfortable, let your imagination run wild to create sublime lines!
- More of a kohl style? Use your favorite eye pencil and apply it to the lower waterline of your eyes. Start by drawing a line from the inner to the outer corner. Patience and gentleness are key for this technique! Then, apply your mascara for doe eyes.
- An eyeshadow base with a pencil? It's possible and it's simply gorgeous. Pssst 🤫, plus it helps eyeshadows last much longer! Apply your eye pencil always from the inner to the outer corner, filling your eyelid with light movements. Then use a blending brush to blur the texture and achieve a natural finish. A technique to enlarge your eyes? Take a white pencil and apply it as a kohl pencil to the waterline of the lower eyelid. You'll have enlarged and sublimated eyes!
Which pencil color to apply based on your eye color?
- Blue eyes: If you have blue eyes, there are advantageous shades to highlight their color. The most suitable shades will then be: Gold, Brown and Dark Gray.
- Green eyes: If you have green eyes, your winning trio will be the shades Plum, Dark Gray, and Gold! These shades will enhance the color of your eyes.
- Brown eyes: If you have brown eyes, you are lucky! All shades suit you perfectly. You just have to fall for your favorite shade.
- Gray eyes: If you have gray eyes, nothing beats the shades Silver, White, Midnight Blue, and Royal Blue to sublimate your mysterious eyes.
How to apply the pencil according to your eye shape?
-
Small eyes: To enlarge the eyes, nothing too complicated, just apply the organic white pencil to the waterline along the lower lashes, so as to brighten the gaze. Your eyes will thus appear larger.
- Large eyes: On the contrary, if you have large eyes, it is better to opt for medium or dark colors such as the organic black or brown eye pencil. This will make the eyes appear less open.
- Close-set eyes: It is then quite possible to visually space them out with a light shade in the inner corner of the eye and a dark shade in the outer corner. Simply outline the upper lash line starting from the middle of the eyelid. Let the line extend outwards from the eye, then gently blend upwards towards the temples.
-
Almond eyes: Lucky you! This is one of the easiest shapes to enhance. You just have to choose your favorite color to highlight your doe eyes! Charlotte's tip: If you want to further brighten your gaze, a line of white kohl pencil on the lower waterline will do the trick perfectly!
-
Bulging eyes: these are larger and rounder than average. The makeup will consist of reducing their volume by using the right colors and correcting their rounded shape by elongating them. We will emphasize the eyes with a line of black or brown pencil along the upper and lower lash lines. Feel free to draw a slightly wider line on the mobile eyelid to reduce its size. Charlotte's tip: To further enhance this effect, you can also try drawing a black pencil line on the edge of the lower and/or upper eyelid's waterline.
