- How to use a primer
- Why choose organic
Often overlooked, primer is nonetheless the secret to perfect complexions. It's not an unnecessary extra layer; it's a genuine enhancer that works on three levels:
👉 Primer prepares the skin for makeup application:
Primer prepares the skin by creating a light, breathable barrier between your day cream and your makeup. It refines skin texture thanks to silica, which blurs pores, fine lines, and irregularities. This perfect surface allows your foundation or BB cream to glide on smoothly, spread evenly without streaks, and already helps to set the makeup.
👉 It improves the appearance of the complexion without makeup:
This is the secret weapon for "no-makeup" days, as it can be used alone! You don't have to apply makeup over it. Thanks to its blurring properties and the mica that provides natural radiance, primer unifies the skin transparently. It mattifies shiny areas: it's the ideal option if you just want a "healthy glow" effect and velvety skin, while staying natural.
👉 It extends makeup wear:
Does your makeup fade and your complexion products migrate into creases and fine lines? Primer is the solution. It acts as an invisible grip that fixes pigments to the skin. By regulating sebum and creating this adhesive surface, it ensures that your makeup remains fresh and intact from morning to night.
Choosing organic is crucial for this type of product, which remains in contact with your skin all day long. Conventional bases often rely on silicones to achieve an immediate smoothing effect. The problem? They form an occlusive film (like plastic) that smothers the epidermis, prevents the skin from breathing, and can eventually lead to imperfections.
The Charlotte Bio primer is the ideal alternative for combining a perfect result with skin care. Our formula contains zero silicone; it smooths the skin's texture thanks to silica and provides luminosity thanks to mica, without ever clogging pores. Its formula is untinted, so it suits all skin tones without altering the color of your foundation. In addition to setting makeup, it is hydrating. It offers all the comfort of a skincare product for supple skin that doesn't feel tight.
For it to reveal its full potential, applying the primer encourages the adoption of the right habits.
1️⃣ Prepare your skin:
This is the essential step to prevent the product from pilling; the primer does not replace your day cream. First and foremost, apply your usual moisturizer to clean, dry skin. Allow it time to fully absorb (about 1 to 2 minutes). Your skin should be supple and hydrated, ready to receive the primer, which will seal in this hydration.
2️⃣ Regarding application:
The secret lies in the "less is more" dosage!
Take an amount the size of a pea or a grain of rice. Too much could cause makeup to slide instead of setting it. Apply the product with your finger, focusing on the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and cheeks, where pores are most visible and shine is more active. Spread the product from the inside out of the face with gentle smoothing motions. You can lightly tap on certain areas to blur the skin texture effectively.
